Smartron SRT phone

Home-grown brand Smartron, has launched its latest smartphone named SRT.Phone. At an event held in New Delhi, the SRT.Phone was launched at a price tag starting ₹12999. This phone is reportedly manufactured with inputs from Sachin Tendulkar, the leading run scorer in ODI and Test cricket. Sachin is also one of the early investors in the company.

SRT.Phone (T5524) comes with a plastic back panel, which is curved at the edges with rounded corners. It has a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. The phone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 652 Octa Core processor clocked at 1.8Ghz and Adreno 510 GPU. It houses a 4GB RAM and comes with two storage options of 32GB and 64GB. Along with the inbuilt storage, the company also offers unlimited cloud storage through its own cloud storage platform, tCloud. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

There is a 13MP back camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The front camera also boasts of 8MP sensor with wide-angle lens. 3000 mAh battery is supported by Quickcharge 2.0 technology. Measuring 153 x 77 x 8.9 mm, it weighs 150 grams. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack and USB type C port for charging and data transfer. Though the phone comes with 4G LTE, the company has announced to enable VoLTE with a software update in the coming months.

It costs ₹12999 for 32GB variant and ₹13999 for 64GB variant.
