Sony’s latest flagship smartphone is now officially available across the country. The Xperia XZ Premium goes one step further compared to XZ with respect to display and processing power. The design criteria remains the same throughout the lineup, as a matter of fact, this is the first smartphone available in India, that offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.

According to official statement, the device is priced at ₹61,900, however, as a early buyers deal via Amazon, one can get it at the reduced cost of INR 59,000. Let’s run through the brief specs sheet to check the justification of this price tag.

To start with pros, this is one of the two smartphones that houses a 4K IPS lcd screen, with true HDR mode in a hand held device. To power all those pixels Sony has chose the best, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 partnered with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB onboard storage with external SD card support upto 2 TB.

Sony’s X-armor camera’s are back in action as well, the 19 MP rear facing main unit can capture native slow motion videos at a whooping 960 FPS, the front facing 13 MP camera also supports 4K video recording. The 3230 mAh battery does support Qualcomm Quickcharge 3.0 via USB type C port. Sony also borrows IP68 water and dust resistance rating from its predecessors.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with custom user interface. The device is available throughout the country via Amazon India and Sony stores.
