We know almost everything about the Huawei Honor 7X, except the single important information, that is the price tag. Many tech enthusiasts are quoting a different set of price-tag and the users may not be happy with some of the price tags.

The smartphone does offer almost identical specifications compared to the already available Huawei Honor 9i (which retails in India for ₹17,999 for the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant). So, we at The India Wire predict that the smartphone is likely to retail for ₹12,999 for the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant and ₹14,999 for the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant.

The smartphone offers a premium metal design which is in line with the other premium flagship smartphones, in fact, the device is almost identical to that of the Huawei Honor 9i, except for the dual camera setup on the front.

Let’s look at the pros and the cons of the Honor 7x to make your choice easier.

Pros:

  • Best-in-class premium build quality.
  • Dual rear-camera setup with best-in-class camera performance.
  • Massive 5.99-inch FHD+ 2160x1080p resolution IPS LCD display, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top with 18:9 aspect ratio.
  • Semi-new Android Nougat 7.1.2 with custom EMUI on the top that offers a lot of customisation options.
  • Almost bezel-less design, which is in line with the 2017 smartphone.
  • 32/64/128 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated Hybrid micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB).
  • 3 GB or 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM.
  • Dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte on both the slots.
  • The well-positioned fingerprint scanner on the back, which is heavily responsive.

Cons:

  • No IP rating for the water and dust resistance.
  • Still uses a micro USB port for charging and data syncing.
  • 3340 mAh battery might bug out by the end of the day.
  • Everyone may not appreciate the EMUI over the stock Android.
  • HiSilicon Kirin 659 Octa-core Processor might not be suitable for heavily demanding tasks.

Considering the fact that, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus is around the corner, which is expected to be priced less than ₹10,000 for the entry-level model, the pricing of the Huawei Honor 7X does play an important role.

The company is planning a grand launch in London on December 5th and the smartphone will be available from 7th December via Amazon India. One can also expect initial offers from the brand for the first day buyers. Our only worry is that the pricing should not damage the almost well-built smartphone.
