Apple CEO Tim Cook Says Firm Guards Data Privacy in China
Tim Cook Apple’s CEO, on Tuesday, stated the company is all into protecting people’s privacy, with data encrypted and locked away on servers even in China.
Mr. Cook, states how privacy is now a very big part in our life & every one requires to have control over it, completely.
This makes comment on how the US tech giant maintains the safeguard of the data even in China, with the law which forces them to keep the stored data with them, there.

“We worked with a Chinese company to provide iCloud,” Cook said, referring to Apple’s service for storing digital content in the internet cloud during an interview with Vice News.
“But, the keys to the data are ours.”
After Facebook’s privacy invasion, Apple to stay on an alert
Mr. Cook states how their data is stored over multiple countries, it’s not easy at all for the local authorities to access them. China well known for strict Internet controls raises worries about the privacy of data stored there by Apple.

When Mr. Cook was questioned about the recent breach in Facebook over Privacy invasion, he confidently stated how well they were ready to tackle and protect their users’ data. In a life with smartphones, privacy invasion is a very serious issue.
Cook has repeatedly talked on the fact that Apple’s business model does not involve gathering user data and target advertising, the way Internet colossus Facebook and Google make money.
“You are not our product,” Cook said. “We don’t create a profile and allow other companies to target you. That is not the business we are in.”
Apple’s Dignity at stake for their users
Apple, valued at more than a trillion dollars based on its share price, makes most of its money from iPhone sales. The Silicon Valley company has been working to change and gather from digital content and online services, such as streaming music and data storage.
Cook said that while he is a fan of the free market, he supports the idea of legislation aimed at protecting people’s privacy.
“I think there is a need to work with Congress and the staff to make sure we do our jobs of helping them come up to speed on what’s possible,” Cook said.
“Technology itself doesn’t want to be good. It doesn’t want to be bad. It doesn’t want to be anything. It is up to the creator.”
