Here are the exclusive details on the upcoming entry-level Android smartphone from Micromax with interesting tech specifications. The smartphone is expected to retail for ₹6,999 and at this price tag, the smartphone does offer everything that one can expect from a smartphone.

The design on the Micromax Bharat 5 might not impress you for the following reasons. The smartphone uses a polycarbonate body with a user replaceable back panel. The phone does look like a metal unibody design, but, it is not. Just like the most of the entry-level smartphones, this smartphone offers a metal paint layer with the gold colour paint job. The camera module on the back does look nice and the camera module is in such a way that, the design gives a grand look and makes it look like a premium flagship smartphone. Let’s look at the actual tech specifications of the Micromax Bharat 5.

The Micromax Bharat 5 is equipped with a 5.2-inch 720p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. However, the only thing that is from the yesterday is the 16:9 aspect ratio display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 Quad-core SoC with 1.3 GHz clock speed. This processor is paired with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 32 GB).

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone does offer dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. So, as you can imagine, standard features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.2 are also supported.

On to the optics, the smartphone offers a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera with F/2.2 aperture and a 5 MP main camera with F/2.2 aperture. Both camera modules offer 720p video recording capability with beauty mode. So, in the normal lightening condition, the smartphone will be able to capture good-looking photographs.

In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI on the top. Like most of the entry-level smartphones, there will not be any software updates or security updates what so ever. The Micromax Bharat 5 does offer 22 Indian languages, so, one can use the smartphone in their own mother tongue.

Finally, the smartphone main USP (unique selling point) is the massive 5000 mAh Li-ion sealed-battery. Literally, this smartphone can last up to 3 working days. However, as the device doesn’t offer fast charging, the device might take at least 3.5 hours to completely charge using the micro USB port.
