Sony is getting ready to launch its next flagship smartphone on MWC 2018, and the smartphone goes with the name Sony Xperia Z5, which will be the successor of the Sony Xperia Z (launched in 2017). As the title suggests, this will be the first Sony smartphone to be powered by premium Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Solution.

Initially, the smartphone was spotted on Reddit, confirming some of the specifications of the smartphone. So, like the last year model, the upcoming variant is also expected to feature a premium full metal unibody solution with a premium finish. Here are the complete set of specifications for the Sony Xperia Z2.

The phone goes with the name H8216, featuring a 5.48-inch IPS LCD full HD 1080p panel, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core Mobile Solution, paired with 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB).

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone will offer either single or dual SIM card slot (depending on the region) with support for Gigabit LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. On to the camera, the smartphone offers a 15 MP main camera with OIS and 4K video recording capability. For the selfie camera, the smartphone offers a 12 MP front-facing camera with 1080p video recording capability with a front-facing flash.

The operating system on the smartphone will be based on Android Oreo 8.1 with custom UI on the top. So, you will also be able to enjoy latest Android iterations. Like most of the Sony flagship smartphone, the phone offers IP68 rating against water and dust resistance. Finally, everything on the phone will be backed by 3,130 mAh Li-ion battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 4.0 capability via USB type C port with a dedicated 3.5 mm headphone jack.
