Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the lockdown has become mandatory all over the world. So, people are facing social distancing and many companies are following Work From Home. In the last two months social media apps are being widely used which helps people to connect and chat. Video conferencing apps market is growing day by day. Many companies are introducing new features that allow users to communicate with more people at a time. Jio Meet is a new addition to this. Back in 2019, Jio announced about Jio Meet. Now the development of it has been completed and it is officially rolled out for the users.

Users can download Jio Meet from the Google Play Store or from the Apple App Store. This app can be used for both personal and business video calls. Not only for smartphones, Jio Meet is available for Windows, Mac, and also a plugin for Outlook which can be downloaded from the Mac App Store and Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace.

It also allows you to access the calls through web browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox without having to download the app. Also, you can schedule the calls.

How to install it on Android or iOS:

  • Download the app from the Play Store or App store
  • Log in with your email Id, or as a guest or with OTP
  • When you enter as a guest, the app will ask for the Name of the user and the meeting ID url.
  • When you logged in user ID and password, you will contacts available on Jio Meet platform. Also, you can invite others by sending them a link.

On Windows:

  • Go to https://jiomeet.jio.com/home website.
  • Tap the download button which will be there at the bottom of the page. (Choose for Windows)
  • You will get a .exe file downloaded
  • Then install it and sign-in using mail ID or with OTP.
  • If you logged in using OTP, you should have the app installed and set up on your smartphone.
