Vivo has published an official teaser of its upcoming Apex 2019 which will come with the next-generation elevating camera. The company has put up a 35-second video on its official Facebook page giving users a glimpse of the device. The elevating camera that was seen on Vivo nex last year is also said to come with new features and improvements.
The Vivo Apex 2019, as we have seen from the teaser and the poster the company has released so far, does not seem to have a notch or any physical buttons which gives the phone a liquid-metal design. Vivo is expected to showcase this concept smartphone at the annual Mobile World Congress on January 24.

“In 2018, we pioneered the ElevatingFront Camera with our APEX concept phone at MWC. Within months, we mass-produced it with our NEX smartphone during the FIFA World Cup. Now, get ready for 2019,” the company wrote on Facebook.
As for the specs and other features of the phone, it is all kept a mystery. Image renders of the phone were leaked a few days ago on Twitter which showed a glass body with rounded corners. Now, with the release of the teaser, the phone looks similar to the leaked images.
The phone was also leaked in a promotional video on a Chinese website, Weibo. The video shows a phone emerging from a waterdrop which is in line with the fact that the phone was produced under the code name: The Waterdrop.
Vivo Apex 2018 concept smartphone with a pop-up camera was shown at MWC last year and it looks like Vivo will keep up the trend by introducing its next generation of the Apex concept smartphone at MWC this year.
The Apex 2018 had 98 percent screen to body ratio with minimum bezels and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
