Good news for the Vivo fans, the smartphone maker has announced a permanent price cut. The smartphone now available for ₹16,999 instead of the original ₹18,999 price tag. The Vivo V7 comes with a lot of bells and whistles. In a nutshell, this is a compact variant of the original Vivo V7+.

In terms of design and aesthetics, the smartphone offers a premium full metal unibody design with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner at the back. Aesthetically, the smartphone does belong to the 2017’s standard. Let’s look at the actual tech specifications of the Vivo V7 for the further insights.

To begin with the display, the smartphone packs an all-new 18:9 aspect ratio screen spread across 5.7-inches. However, unlike the most of the smartphones, this phone offers an HD+ 1440x720p IPS LCD screen instead of FHD+ 1080p resolution. The display is protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top for additional protection. The smartphone is powered by all new Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor with 1.8 GHz clock speed, paired with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB).

Looking at the connectivity, the smartphone does offer dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability with support for Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and a dedicated DAC to improve audio output via 3.5 mm headphone jack.

In terms of camera capability, the smartphone packs a 16 MP rear-facing camera with 4k video recording capability and a 24 MP front-facing selfie camera with 1080p video recording and a moonlight glow selfie flash to improve low light photography. So, at least on paper, you are getting well-balanced cameras with very prominent camera performance under well-lit conditions.

The smartphone is based on Android Nougat based operating system with no promise for the future software updates what so ever. Everything on the phone is powered by a sealed 3000 mAh Li-ion battery with normal charging capability via micro USB port.

This smartphone is specifically made for the Vivo fans and one might find a great deal after the price cut. However, we always feel that Vivo smartphones are always overpriced compared to the competition. So, do you own any of the Vivo smartphones? Share your views in the comment box.
