Vivo X50 series to launch in India on July 16, confirms company

For everyone who is unaware, Vivo has been teasing the launch of X50 series in India since past days and now on the official Vivo India Twitter account, the company has officially declared the date as July 16, for the launch of the smartphone.

The tweet read as “Block your calendar, #vivoX50Series is launching on 16th July, 2020 at 12PM. #StayTuned Uncover the future of smartphone pro – photography with us”.

While the company has yet not revealed the names of the handsets to the audience that will be part of the Vivo X50 series in India, it is very much expected that it will launch two different  handsets — Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro. To add on to your information let us recall, last month, the Vivo X50 series was launched in China, company’s home country. However, the launch of three handsets in China,  Vivo X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ have taken place.

In China, the base variant of the Vivo X50 offers customers  8GB + 128GB storage and costs CNY 3,498 (approximately Rs 37,600) and the 8GB + 256GB model cost is at CNY 3,898 (approximately Rs 41,900).

Model specs of Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro  

Both the Vivo X50 as well as the X50 Pro share most of the specs in common. They have a screen size of   6.56-inch fullHD+ (2376×1080 pixels) with refresh rate of 90Hz . Both the models are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, the duo run on Android 10 operating system based Funtouch OS 10.5. Both the duo offer 33W fast-charging support and house a 32MP front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Both the models differ when it comes to rear camera setup and battery. The Vivo X50 houses a quad camera setup of 48MP+ 13MP+8MP+5MP. As for the Vivo X50 Pro, the handset houses a 48MP+8MP+8MP +13MP.
