Whatsapp

Looking back to 2014, Whatsapp had just 450 million active users monthly and 315 million daily active users. The enormous rise in Facebook’s choice to pay $ 19 billion for just acquisition looks farsighted enough. Mark Zuckerberg announced on Q4 2017 that Facebook has recorded earnings with 1.5 billion users and 60 billion messages sent per day.

However, with contemn to Snapchat, Zuckerberg also informed that Whatsapp and Instagram are world’s No.1 and No.2 story-sharing applications. Referring, the duo have now 300 million daily active users compared to 178 million users on Snapchat.

Eventually, Facebook looked insane while the news came out about his high investment. The step taken by Facebook to buy Whatsapp has been a dominant factor. If they didn’t buy Whatsapp eventually, Google probably would have that as Messaging is the most critical and time-consuming stuff these days.

Now, Facebook is really into the monetizing business as they have launched the Whatsapp Business for the premium Business owners. The company wrote earlier,

“someone placing an order with a local bakery or looking at new styles from a clothing store” and “shopkeepers who use WhatsApp to stay in touch with hundreds of customers from a single smartphone”, plus offer “an easier way to respond to messages.”

The company also says that the enterprise solution will initially be free but it does plan to charge businesses. They will be charging for the additional commerce, customer service or broadcasting tools.
