The renowned Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi is looking forward to making an entry in the gaming smartphone market with the launch of its first gaming smartphone Xiaomi Blackshark SKR-A0. The phone will be launched under the company’s new banner ‘Blackshark’. As per the recent reports, it is being said that a few months ago the Chinese brand Xiaomi had acquired a stake in Blackshark and is gearing up for the launch of a new gaming smartphone since a long time.

A Glimpse of Xiaomi Blackshark SKR-A0: Geekbench Score

In the month of February this year, for the first time, Blackshark smartphone was spotted in AnTuTu’s database with some attractive feature set. The phone is listed as Blackshark SKR-A0 and has marked its entry in Geekbench’s database. It was noted that the specifications of the phone found in Geekbench listing matched with the specifications that were actually found in AnTuTu’s database. The Geekbench benchmark information revealed that the upcoming gaming smartphone Blackshark SKR-A0 scored 2,452 points in the single-core test and 8,452 points in the multi-core test.

Xiaomi Blackshark SKR-A0: Expected Specifications

As per the benchmark listing, we can expect that the Blackshark SKR-A0 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor i.e., clocked at 1.77GHz along with 8GB of RAM. It is expected that the phone will come with 128GB or 256GB of UFS internal storage also.

The phone is expected to work on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. There are no revelations made whether the upcoming phone will be set to sail with stock Android or Xiaomi’s custom user interface, MIUI. Now, coming to the benchmark scores, this phone performs quite well and better than the Snapdragon 845 variant of the Samsung Galaxy S9+and had managed to grab impressive 2422 points in the single-core test done at Geekbench and 8351 points in the multi-core test.

Further, rumors add to the fact that the upcoming Blackshark phone will be incorporated with an aviation-class cooling system for greater performance and lower CPU and GPU throttling, a top-class digital signal processor (DSP) and thus will result in best-in-class performance for the gamers.

Xiaomi Blackshark SKR-A0: The Rivals and Competition

It is to be noted that the real-world performance of the Blackshark phone could vary from what the benchmark scores suggest -so take care!The upcoming gaming smartphone will get direct competition from the Razer Phone and is packed with features like a 120Hz screen, really loud stereo speakers, Snapdragon 835 processor along with  8GB of RAM, a cooling system for better performance, and packed with a huge 4000mAh battery.
