Xiaomi, the first brand which showcased how to make bezel-less smartphones now following the Apple’s footprint. However, the company is picking up something, that was not appreciated by most smartphone enthusiasts, the Apple iPhone X’s notch. Here are the details on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s.

Yes, you heard us right. Since Xiaomi has faced some problems with the placement of selfie camera and other sensors (which has a selfie camera in the bottom right corner), now the company is all set to incorporate the notch from the iPhone X (is this will be the first Android smartphone to feature Face ID?).

Literally speaking, the Essential phone is the first smartphone to have a top-notch, but, Xiaomi and Apple make a good pair with almost similar looking at the aesthetics aspects. Considering the company already has a flagship, this would be more of a mid-tier premium smartphone with slightly underpowered specifications compared to the original MI MIX 2s.

So, here are the technical specifications for the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s. Like always, the phone is used to feature a 5.8-inch IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-core SoC, paired with either 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (probably).

In terms of connectivity, the device is likely to offer dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability. As we are a bit disappointed about the camera on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s expected to solve the same using dual camera solution (just like the one found on the Xiaomi Mi 6) with a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens.

So, one can expect the same ceramic material with an aluminium mid-frame. Finally, coming to the pricing, the device is expected to be priced bit lower than the original Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 (which retails in India for ₹35,000) so, this device is expected to be priced around ₹25,000 to ₹30,000. So, what do you think about this smartphone? Share your views in the comment box.
