The Xiaomi Mi MAX 2, the phablet offering from the Chinese smartphone giant now becomes more-affordable. As a part of the Amazon’s Great India Festival. The Xiaomi Mi MAX 2 features 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated SD card slot is priced at INR 14,999, however, on 20th September 2017, the device goes on sale for the introductory price tag of INR 12,999 only.

The device features premium all-metal unibody design with flushed antenna bands. The USP of the Xiaomi Mi MAX 2 is its mammoth battery (5300 mAh with Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 capability). This is the first non-flagship smartphone from Xiaomi India to use USB type C port as well.

The mobile features massive 6.44-inch edge to edge full HD IPS LCD grade screen with 2.5-D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core SoC, based on 14 nm FinFET technology, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB onboard storage with a dedicated SD card slot (Hybrid solution).

In terms of camera capabilities, the mobile features 12 MP Sony-made rear-facing camera with  1.25-micron pixels and F/2.2 aperture. The camera also offers PDAF and 1080p video recording capability. For the selfie enthusiasts, the phone comes with a 5 MP front-facing camera with F/2.0 aperture and various beauty mode options from the stock camera applications.

On the software department, the Xiaomi Mi MAX 2 is powered by MIUI V8 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1, the phone is also eligible to receive MIUI V9, which comes with plenty of features like splint window, dual-app and improved GPU and CPU allocation.

The Original model featuring 64 GB storage was priced at INR 16,999, so at INR 12,999, the device offers best-in-class display, battery, processor, and design.
