Xiaomi India has announced a permanent price cut on their number one selling device, AKA, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, which have been the best smartphone from the brand with powerful internals and an intuitive design and build quality. Even after 10 months of the actual launch date, this till has the nerve to stand against the competition like Lenovo K8 Note, Moto G5, and other mid-tier smartphones.

Originally, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was priced at ₹10,999 and ₹12,999 for the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant now retails for ₹9,999 and ₹11,999 only. The Redmi Note 4 almost has everything from a top of the line full metal unibody design with a rugged build quality. Here are the complete tech specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 offers a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top, which gives a premium look. The smartphone is powered by energy efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core SoC based on the 14 nm FinFET technology. The smartphone comes with either 3 GB or 4 GB RAM with 32 GB or 64 GB onboard storage (eMMC 5.1) with a hybrid SIM slot. So, you have to make a choice between the secondary SIM or a micro SD card (up to 128 GB).

In terms of camera capability, the device offers a 13 MP rear-facing main camera with PDAF and CMOS, featuring 1080p video recording capability. Though the smartphone is capable of 4K video recording capability, this feature has been disabled via software. For the selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone offers a 5 MP wide-angle selfie camera with F/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capability. Though the numbers look good on the paper, the camera offers mediocre photographic capabilities. Which is also one of the bad factors about this model.

Coming to the connectivity, the device does support 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots with dual-band WiFi (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz) and WiFi Hotspot. Additionally, the smartphone offers analogue FM radio, 3.5 mm headphone jack and a down-facing mono speaker. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI MiUi 9 on the top, which offers a feature like the dual app, multi-window, and support for third-party themes.

Last but not the least, the 4100 mAh Li-ion sealed battery combined with energy efficient processor can last for a complete day for the heavy users and for the average users the battery can easily get up to 2 days of usage on a single charge. The smartphone doesn’t support fast charging and takes around 2 and a half hour to completely charge from 0 to 100. So, if you are looking for an entry-level smartphone, then, this is the phone that we suggest.
