As Xiaomi didn’t launch their flagship smartphone (the Xiaomi Mi 6) in India for 2017. In India, many Xiaomi enthusiasts were disappointed with that. So, to make up for the mistake, the company is launching the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, that reflects the company’s capability, when it comes to innovation and inspiration.

In terms of design and aesthetics, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 resembles the original Mi MIX, with more compact design, which makes it easier to use the smartphone single-handedly. However, we are not completely astonished by the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, to know more about this, read our full review of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 was launched earlier this month in China with a full bezel-less display and top of the line specifications, which are on par with the other premium flagship smartphones. Here is the complete set of specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 2.

The device offers 5.9-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel, covered by a 2.5D curved tempered glass. On the back side, the device offers a full ceramic back case which is scratch and impact resistance compared to Glass and Aluminium. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage without any dedicated SD card slot. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability with support for over 50 LTE bands around the globe, so, if you are an international traveller, then this device will offer network anywhere in the world.

The thing that we are not impressed with is the camera on the device. The device is equipped with a 12 MP Sony-made sensor with 4-axial image stabilisation and 4K video recording capability. The selfie camera placement has been compromised in favour of the bezel-less design. The Phezo-electric microphone is now replaced with the standard microphone, which improves the overall audio quality.

In terms of battery, the device offers a 3400 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability, however, the device doesn’t offer wireless charging capability. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 offers Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box with custom MiUi Version 9 on the top, which offers plenty of customizable options. The device also offers NFC, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0 out of the box.

The device’s price starts at INR 32,000 for the entry-level variant and goes up to INR 47,000 for the special edition. At these price tag, can Xiaomi get a piece of flagship market this time around? Have to wait and see.
