Xiaomi India has finally unveiled the much-anticipated premium flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 in India for INR 35,999. The device will go on sale on 17th October via Flipkart and Mi.com (at 12:00 PM) and from the November, the device will be available across Mi Homes, Mi Preferred partners and Flipkart.

Unlike China, we don’t have many models, and the one model available in India offers 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128 GB onboard flash storage in Black colour. So, this is the only model available in India and there is no news regarding the limited edition white ceramic model as well. The device offers improved in-hand feel over the original Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, which was a bit disappointing, with respect to the in-hand feel and the massive 6.4-inch size.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is equipped with a 5.99-inch 18:9 aspect ration FHD+ 1080p IPS LCD screen, protected by 4D curved tempered glass on the top. The smartphone is powered by the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB onboard flash storage without any dedicated micro SD card slot. The device offers a black matt finish Aluminium frame with a 4 corner rounded off ceramic back panel (processed for 5 days) making it a unique smartphone.

In terms of camera capability, the device offers a 12 MP rear-facing Sony-made sensor, which 1.25 micros pixel size and 4 axial image stabilisation, which should reduce the blur and improves the low light photography. For the selfie enthusiasts, the device features a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera, which is located on the lower chin of the device. The camera sensor is the smallest ever used in the smartphone, which makes it aesthetically pleasing all-black look.

Finally, coming to the operating system, the device offers Android Nougat 7.1 with custom MIUI Version 9 on the top. In terms of connectivity, the device offers up to 43 international LTE bands, which are supported over 210 international territories. The device also offers wireless NFC, which can be used for wireless payment and to pair with the third party accessories.

As the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 doesn’t offer 3.5 mm headphone, the company also launches premium headphone with USB type C port with high-quality audio dack. For the first time ever the company is also offering zero interest EMI on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 across the platform, to lessen the burden on those, whose is planning to buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2.
