Xiaomi India is all set to launch their first dual camera smartphone in India. As Xiaomi India started teasing the device via their social media platforms (Twitter and Facebook). As the device is already available in China, we do know most of its specifications and the features it’s going to offer.

Unlike most of the dual camera smartphones, that are equipped with either RGB + monochrome sensor, Xiaomi Mi 5X will feature a more premium dual camera solution. The dual camera setup on the device can take great photographs including 2X optical zoom, which was missing in the price territory of 15,000 to 20,000 Indian rupees.

The premium design language will be another feature that impressed us. The first under INR 20,000 Xiaomi phone to offer USB type C port with fleshed antenna bands design. Other than these things, the device’s specifications will be pretty much same as that of the already available Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

The device will be featuring a 5.5 inch LTPS 1080p panel with 2.5D curved glass on the top, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage. The Xiaomi 5X will be the first non Redmi smartphone to offer a micro SD card slot. In terms of camera, we are expecting to have similar 12 MP + 12 MP sensors with Omni Vision sensor along with optical image stabilisation. The device will be powered by MiUi 9 built on the top of Android Nougat.

The battery 3300 mAh battery will have Qualcomm Quick charging capability as well. The device is expected to be priced at INR 15,000 or lesser.
