Zior, a new Indian smartphone manufacturer has launched a new entry-level Android smartphone named Zior Duopix F1. The smartphone is priced at ₹7,499 and will be available via offline retail stores from India. So, you have to go to the actual store to pick up the device. The smartphone will be available in stunning black and smart white color options.

In terms of design and build quality, the smartphone offers an all plastic unibody design with the metallic paint job. So, the device does look like an all-metal unibody design, but the color might fade away after few months of continues usage. So, using this device with a case will make sense. Let’s look at the actual technical specifications for the further investigation.

The smartphone features a 5.0-inch 720p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. However, the smartphone still uses 16:9 aspect ratio with very large bezels, which may not match the “2017 smartphone standards”. Under the hood, the smartphone is incorporated with an unknown 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mobile Solution, paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB).

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers a dual nano-SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. Other standard connectivity features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.2 are also in line with the most of the entry-level smartphones.

The USP of the Ziox Duopix F1 is the front-facing camera. The smartphone does offer dual-front facing camera setup, consisting of 8 MP RGB sensor and a 2 MP depth sensing sensor. The secondary lens will help the smartphone to capture the varied depth of field, which gives a DSLR like bokeh effect. For the main camera, the smartphone uses an 8 MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability with a single tone LED flash.

The Ziox Duopix F1 does have an out of the box features like facial recognition and does support 21 Indian languages officially. So, one can use this smartphone in your own language. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI on the top. There is no information regarding the future software updates. The 2400 mAh Li-ion battery is user replaceable, which is expected to last for a complete day of usage on a single charge. The micro USB port does support USB OTG and the company continues to support the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
