ZTE has launched a new portfolio called, the ZTE Axon M, which is a bit of a strange smartphone in the modern era. The device features a dual screen design, with a foldable hinge. The company is aiming to capture the new market by launching all-new form factor, where a user can use it as a smartphone or as a tablet. As of now, there is no information on the pricing.

The ZTE Axon M features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD 1080p panel on the front and a retractable 5.2-inch 1080p panel on the back. One may ask that, how to distinguish between the primary and secondary display? The primary display has a camera module and a flash unit on the top of the display and the secondary display doesn’t have that. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB onboard flash storage. Currently, there is no information on the SD card slot.
In terms of camera capability, the device offers a 20 MP camera, which enacts as a front-facing selfie camera as well as a rear-facing camera. One has to toggle it via software to use it in either of the modes. In terms of camera capability, 20 MP sensors offer a 4K video recording capability up to 30 frames per second.
Applications of dual-screen: One can use this dual-screen feature in the following scenario.
Use it as a tent: Flip out the secondary screen and give mirror the screen, on this mode, the secondary display will show the same things that are being carried out in the primary display in the real time.
Use it as two individual phone: This feature uses Google split-screen features. So, you can watch your favourite YouTube video on one screen and Whatsapp using the secondary screen altogether.
Use it in tablet mode: This features will also work like a charm, as, most of the Android apps are made to work in tablet mode. This gives a lot of real estate to the user.
