Telecom major Airtel today has announced that they will invest ₹2,000 crore in three years under ‘Project Next’ to refurbish customer touch points and enhance subscriber experience.

Under their new project, Airtel will renovate its stores, launch mobile handset protection schemes, allow transfer of unused mobile data to next month for postpaid users and pooling of postpaid plan within a family.

The company has planned to compete with its telecom rivals Reliance Jio and Vodafone. The company will soon launch several digital innovations to “step change the simplicity and interactivity” of its customer experience.

While settling the rumors of Airtel’s VoLTE launch on today, Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO (South Asia) of Airtel said, it is in the works and the company is conducting trials in five cities. He added that the company will be “able to take VoLTE” everywhere in the country in the later part of the year.
