Mukesh Ambani addressing the fifth edition of the Bengal Global  Business Summit 2019 said, that company has earmarked a fresh investment of Rs 10,000 crore for Expansion of Jio’s operations in the West Bengal. He also praised Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee for  creating a conducive environment in the state for the flourishing of the Business and even called her a leader of the 4th industrial revolution.

“RIL has already invested Rs 28,000 crore in West Bengal, which is one tenth of the company’s total investments across India, and (telecom arm) Jio will invest a further Rs 10,000 crore-plus to make the state a land of digital revolution” Ambani said. It is to be noted that Jio has massively invested in West Bengal, almost about 10% of its total investment across country.

Besides these he also confirmed that Reliance Jio is also planning to starts an E-commerce platform, which as per him “will bring win-win benefits for the consumer, retailers and producers” and thus will further help in enriching and empowering around 3 crore small scale shopkeepers.

Reliance Jio which made a disruptive entry in 2016, in the Indian telecom sector, has been expanding its network as well as its Business very rapidly. Now its plans for entering into the E-commerce indexes towards bigger plans of capturing the e-commerce market.
