With the declaration of the first allotment result for the National Entrance and Eligibility Test (NEET) 2017 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) declared, the allotted candidates must be aware about what the next step should be.

To check the result, the students must refer to the official website of MCC at www.mcc.nic.in. Following this, the students must go forth according to these steps—

Step 1- Report

Candidates will be required to report to their allotted college and complete the admission formalities to accept the seat through the first allotment. During the process, the candidates will be required to submit documents for verification. Submission of ‘willingness’ to participate in the next round of admissions will also be required on the part of the part of the participants. The entire process must be completed between July 16 and July 22 (5 pm).

Step 2- Round II

Those left out of allotment during round one and those who have already been allotted but have submitted their willingness to participate in the next round can go for round two of the NEET 2017 allotment process. Soon, available vacant seats after round one will be displayed by the Committee and on August one, the registration process for this round will commence. By 4 pm on August 4, candidates must provide their willingness and lock their choices.

Step 3- Allotment for Round II

From August 5 to August 7, seat allotment for round two will be processed and as per MCC, the candidates’ choices before this round will be considered “null and void”. August 8 is scheduled to publish the results for this round. Post this, candidates are required to report to their chosen colleges. Important disclaimer — candidates who have joined a college through round 2 of all India quota will not be allowed to vacate seats post this round.

Step 4- Round II reporting

On August 9, the students will begin joining their respective allotted colleges through round two to seek admission. Deadline for reporting by the candidates to their respected colleges is 5 pm on August 16. After this, all vacant seats will be transferred to the state quota. Classes for MBBS and BDS courses will begin classes from August 4, 2017 across the country.
