You must have watched those old movies where horses were used for highlighting the scenes. The heroine would be speedily riding the horse, followed by the villains with all the Takdak Takdak sound and the dust swinging to and fro in the atmosphere with the movements of the horses. This atmosphere gave the audience the real feel of the scene, making it more lively and realistic. You must have definitely watched Sholay where Dhano had played a major role in protecting Basanti. Such was the importance of horses in those times.

Though such things may not exist today, yet Horse Riding has its presence in the city. It could be in the form of sports or a hobby. Many Youngsters have taken it as a hobby and couple of them as a profession. The love for Horses is also a factor for the riders to continue their hobbies as a profession. It is also advantageous from the fitness point of view and is considered as recreational activity. The Embassy International Riding School (EIRS) and Equestrian Centre for Excellence (ECE) are two top riding schools in Bangalore. Many schools have Horse Riding as part of their co-curricular activities. The students are made to spend their time with the horses to build the rapport.
