The design brain behind the Mi MIX Philippe Starck has accepted the invitation to design the next Mi MIX as well, in fact, the device has already gone through the design phase and in line for the mass production. The official video teaser shared on Facebook does give the glimpse of the actual device. The upcoming device does get Galaxy S8 like edges which were not present in the Mi MIX. The device will also feature 3D facial recognition, that is expected in the upcoming iPhone.

According to the video, the company has successfully eliminated bezels that were prominent on the original Mi MIX. Just like LG G6, the device will offer 18:9 screen ration for the cinematic viewing experience with 2K screen resolution. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with either 6 GB or 8 GB RAM with 64 GB or 128 GB storage options.
