Fastest built metro of India is now in service of all the Jaipurites. Jaipur metro was inaugurated by State CM Vasundhra Raje on 3rd of June 2015. It will be a state owned operation and will cost Rs 10 lakh approx daily to metro corporation.

There are two big phase in Jaipur metro, Phase I and Phase II. Phase I is having two section viz Phase I-A and Phase I-B. At present, only Phase I-A is operational and that cover 9 station from Mansarovar to Chandpole.
Timings of Jaipur Metro
Jaipur Metro, unlike Delhi Metro, not going to be functional for 16 hours in a day. It will start at 06:45 am and will stop services at 09:00 pm. There will be trains at an interval of 10 minutes at peak hours (08:am t0 11:00am and 05:00 pm to 07:30pm) and in Non-peak hours there will be trains in every 15 minutes.
Note:- On Sundays there will be less rounds of trains so trains will be there in every 15 hours entire day.
Fares of Jaipur Metro.
Metro is known as the cheapest and fastest transport inside the city. Jaipur Metro will also be cheap as compared to the city buses which are currently the cheapest mode. However there will be two types of fares in Metro. Peak hour fares and non-peak hour fares.
During Peak Hours. (08:am t0 11:00am and 05:00 pm to 07:30pm)
Up to two stations : Rs 10.
Up to five stations : Rs 15.
Up to Nine stations : Rs 20.
During Non-Peak Hours.
Up to two stations : Rs 5.
Up to five stations : Rs 10.
Up to Nine stations : Rs 15.
Baggage allowance in Jaipur Metro
Heavy Baggage is not allowed in Jaipur Metro. There are limits. One can only take a baggage weighing around 8-9 kg. Not more than that. Bag size also matter, A cabin baggage is ideal size. Inflammable things will not be allowed. Things like Knife, Sharp objects etc will also have restriction.

Thankfully, all the metro stations till now do have parking facility. Even the parking charges are also fixed. Though parking at Shyam nagar station is small in area so travellers should not remain dependent on that.
