Mumbai Metro

Mumbai Metro One has launched India’s first mobile ticketing platform. The system is in the final stage of testing and is expected to be implemented by mid-August. The online platform, ‘OnGo’ would end up the scenario for queuing up for single-return tickets, tokens, top-ups and store value passes. It also facilitates people to pre-book their tickets in advance of their journey.

Also, by using Mumbai Metro App, travelers will be able to buy their token or pass and generate a QR Code that would give access to pass through the  Automated Fare Collection (AFC) gates. They simply have to display the QR Code before a non-protruding glass on any AFC gate specially installed for this new technology.

Besides they can also buy the tickets through the other payment partners’ apps.

Mumbai Metro One spokesperson said,”The new feature, the only one of its kind in the country, will add to the overall Metro experience of the commuters. We will endeavor to introduce even more customer-centric benefits in future”.
