Vistara

Vistara, India’s premium Airlines is all set to kick-start its international flight operations as  soon as it gets a approval nod by authorities. Vistara Airlines, co-owned by Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, started its domestic flying operations three years ago.

BJP government in 2016, came with new civil aviation policy, which tweaked the earlier requirements of having a fleet of at least 20 aircraft and minimum five years of experience to get approval for the international flying operations. It removed the five years experience requirement which in case for Vistara, barred it from commencing international operations.

On Wednesday the airline company incorporated, 20th aircraft in its fleet and now awaits for the arrival of 2 more Airbus A320neo aircraft. This has sufficed the current eligibility criteria and Vistara now just need the nod of appropriate authority to commence its flying operations.

“This is not just another addition to our fleet, but a landmark one that signals Vistara’s arrival on the global map and marks the beginning of our next phase of growth. What Vistara has achieved in three years is nothing less than phenomenal, and we’re confident that our distinctive approach to the business will continue to set new benchmarks for the industry,” added its CEO Leslie Thng.

Vistara is now planning to start its international operations with the Flights to South east Asian countries and in the long term the Airline is eyeing on the medium and long-haul routes which depends on the outcome of Air India‘s auction. Recently, the Airlines was awarded ”Most passenger Friendly Airline” by the government.
