Ajit Jogi’s self-proclaimed triumph move to stitched together with Mayawati’s BSP in the Chhattisgarh assembly elections seems not have gone as per plans if the seat projection by the exit polls is to be believed.

Ajit Jogi by Joining Hands with BSP was looking to play the Kingmaker role in case of a hung assembly of 90 seats.

However, various exit polls have predicted the fourth term for Raman Singh led Bhartiya Janta Party, while a very few favored Congress in the state. But One thing is common in all the Polls is the Jogi-BSP alliance have very less say in the voting and seat sharing.

The CJC-BSP alliance has been given as minimum as three seats and a maximum of eight in the 90-member state assembly by exit poll analysts. Cvoter-Republic TV predicted 3 to 7 seats for Jogi-BSP Alliance, while CNX-Times Now has given 7 seats. A poll conducted by India TV has given a maximum number of seats 6-8 to the alliance who was eyed to play a Kingmaker role just like JD(S) in Karnataka Polls.

ABP News, India Today-Axis exit poll predicted the alliance to secure seats around 4 to 8.

Ajit Jogi hopes to capitalize on the Bahujan Samaj Party’s core voter base among SCs of Bilaspur division which accounts for 24 assembly seats. His alliance with BSP has been widely expected to hurt Congress than the BJP, and it is turning out to be true up to an extent if Exit Polls to be believed. The alliance seems to have done damaged the vote bank of Congress more than the incumbent Bhartiya Janta Party.

The elections were held in two phases in Chhattisgarh on November 12 and 20. The Counting of Votes will take place on December 11 along with other state assembly elections.
