Krunal’s historic half-century propels RCB to win over DC and achieve the number one position in the points table.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have now won six consecutive away games and have reached the first position in the points table.

Virat Kohli also got the orange cap for being the leading run-scorer right now, and Josh Hazlewood got the purple cap for being the leading wicket-taker right now in the IPL.

Match Details

The 46th match of IPL was all set to be played in the hometown of Virat Kohli at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

Rajat Patidar won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Delhi Capitals Innings

Abishek Porel and Faf du Plessis opened the innings for DC.

They both started great and were showing great intent from the start.

Josh, the lead wicket taker for RCB, was called into attack as he took the wicket of Abishek, giving DC their first breakthrough.

In the next over, Yash Dayal took the wicket of Karun, and KL Rahul came in to bat.

Faf and KL started to form a partnership, but soon Pandya took the wicket of Faf.

Wickets kept on falling at short intervals of time, and no batsmen were able to play big innings.

In the end, the Delhi Capitals were able to make a total of 162 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets, and Josh Hazlewood took two wickets.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Innings

Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli opened the innings for RCB.

Axar Patel in the third over took two wickets and pushed back the RCB team.

In the next over, Rajat got run out, and they were 26-3 by the fourth over.

Krunal Pandya came in and started to support Virat Kohli as they both were taking the innings forward.

The important partnership between them was taking away the match from DC, and then Krunal completed his half-century after nine long years of waiting.

Virat, on the other hand, also completed his half-century but lost his wicket.

Krunal kept on going, and in the end, with Tim David, he made RCB win the match.
