During the announcement of talks on November 21, presenting picture of bilateral ties, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said, “We have properly managed the differences through dialogue and consultation. The border areas on the whole maintained stability.”

Both the officials made it clear earlier that the discussion must be focused on to the development progress on trade and maintain peace at the India-China border, than looking forward for a solution to calm the border disputes, as general election in India is heading.

Both the countries have looked forward to a dialogue conversation to progress the enhancement of India’s export to China to overcome over the shortage of USD 51 billion trade, though earlier Modi and Xi had the very first “informal summit” in Wuhan.

However, since then both the countries have progressed in the field of trade sector, India’s exporting- rice, pharmaceuticals and sugar.
