The Philippines is major prone to earthquakes due to its geographical positioning. The islands are on the Ring of Fire, fault lines in the basin of the Pacific Ocean and ar arch of volcanoes.

In those regions, tsunamis are frequent, besides earthquake, the constant eruption of the volcanos also stimulates seismic sea waves in the area.
