North American community of the Indian origin along with several organizations of the Indian diaspora has gathered around the Royal Alberts Palace in New Jersey to hold a candlelight mass vigil in the memory of the Indian CRPF personnel who have lost their lives in a suicide bombing attack – Pulwama terror attack.

According to ANI reports, the mass event which was held on February 21 which included a flower-filled memorial and remarks by Jaideep Chola, the Indian Consulate New York HOC, and John McCormac, the mayor of Woodbridge. The event was also attended by Councilwoman Nancy Drumma and president of Federation of Indian association. Around 600 Indians have also attended the event.

Major associations like Telangana American Telugu Association (TATA), Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AICC), Indian Cultural Association of NJ (ICS Union), and Bihar Jharkhand Association of North American (BAJANA), were among others who supported the event.

Pulwama terror attack was claimed by Pakistani based and backed Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit which is led by Masood Azhar. The CRPF personnel were killed their convoy was targeted on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on February 14. The convoy was comprised of 78 busses in which about 2500 CRPF personnel were travelling to Srinagar from Jammu.
