Amid biggest political crisis over his presidency, French President Emmanuel Macron is trying to get help of former president Nicolas Sarkozy, as a sign that a right-wing’s ex-leader’s influence over Macron is high on the rise.

In the last three weeks, Macron, who struggled to calm the crisis in the country, has yet made at least two gesture towards Nicolas Sarkozy, who has led France from the year 2007 to 2012 on a very harline law-and-order platform.

According to news reports, Macron launched with Sarkozy at a Elysee Palace on December 7, just before the violence strike the France over the weekend by “yellow vest” protesters, which led country suffers lot in the district Paris.

Sarkozy and Macron discussed the public order, in fact one of the tax measures were also discussed which was announced by macron last week – a tax exemption for the overtime work – which played as a key plank of Sarkozy’s own program.

Macron has sent Sarkozy, last week, to Tbilisi in order to represent France at a swearing-in of the Georgia’s new president, one move that has caused the stir in the French political circles.

According to news reports, Macron’s move was seen as a signal to the right-wing voters in France, who has been shocked by the images of the burning cars in the markets area of Paris and also Macron’s decision to buy off all the protesters with the costly handouts.

According to news reports: “Emmanuel Macron has understood the personal and political benefit he could draw from (Sarkozy).” Further adding: ““In a time of crisis, it’s a good idea to keep up relations with those you have points in common with.”
