During the airing of an informative program regarding Taiwan on the China Central Television this weekend, a military scholar from the China National Defence University reinstated that Beijing reserves the right to send any number of their latest stealth fighters, the J-20s, for patrols near or above Taiwan any day, and Taipei will not be able to do anything about it.

Throughout the program, the viewers were informed as to how combats and distractions above sea were the Chinese military specialties, and how their latest modification on the Chengdu J-20, which turned the twinjet into a fifth generation, all-weather, twin-engine aircraft, would be able to slash through enemy air defense identification zones very easily. This J-20s reserve the utility for both reconnaissance, as well as assault missions, and remain one of the best stealth aircraft of the continent. The program also highlighted Taiwan’s incapacity and helplessness to rival these jets by bringing into attention the fact that all the “antiquated” F-16s and Mirage 2000s owned by Taipei’s air defense team do not come near the power of even one Chinese squadron composed of J-20 warplanes.

The military scholar declared that Taiwan knew nothing about the pros and cons of the J-20, and feared their possible ability to target their leadership and take them out with precision strikes; the maneuvering capabilities and supersonic attributes of the J-20 would always remain unmatched by the country. Therefore, a squadron consisting of these warplanes remain on standby for sudden patrols over Taipei any day, considering they have already begun their first offshore military training near the island.
