In an official statement to Reuters, McCaul said, “China’s majority control of the world’s 5G networks, interconnected devices, and cloud storage is a risk we cannot accept,” adding, “We have to show up and compete with them.”

Huawei Technologies Inc has risen as a focal figure in regular-tense relations among China and the US. The race for impact in 5G addresses both monetary and national security worries, with Washington expecting that China is utilizing 5G gear as surveillance apparatuses.
