New Delhi, Sep 30: India’s army chief General Bipin Rawat has on Tuesday said surgical strikes have sent message across that the Line of Control (LoC) will remain “sacrosanct” as long as Pakistan doesn’t vitiate the atmosphere and remains quite.

Rawat, in an interview with Times of India, said there would be no “hide and seek” and India would cross the borders via air or the grounds, if necessary. He alleged there are several terror training camps in Pakistan.

Rawat accused Pakistan of providing safe havens to terrorists and terror organizations saying Islamabad themselves have openly said “let’s go for Jihad” in Jammu and Kashmir, following India’s Aug 5th decision to revoke Article 370 that provided special status to J&K.

When asked over Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s threat of nuclear war, the chief said will the international community ever permit to make use of nuclear weapons – which he considers as weapons of deterrence.

Asked about the pertaining situation along the LoC, Rawat said Islamabad was desperate to deploy additional people across in order to instigate teenagers for violence again.

Rawat, however, said India is ensuring that terrorists don’t cross into our borders by targeting any suspicious movement on the other side of the LoC via shelling. He said “our aim is to prevent any infiltration” in order to ensure Jammu and Kashmir remains peaceful.
