China announces third new aircraft carrier under construction, to strengthen its naval ability

To strengthen its blue-water navy ability to function out of its shore to far, China on Monday, official announced its Beijing move of constructing its new aircraft carrier-led naval battleship formations- third aircraft, which is believed to be “bigger and mightier” than the other two of its aircrafts i.e., warships.

China’s first aircraft named “Liaoning” was built and launched in 2012, which was bought from Ukraine, but was considered as an experimental vessel into the Taiwan Straits, especially to function J-15 planes from its deck.

News reports quoted Xinhau saying on Monday, that as per schedule a “new-generation carries” is in process of its construction at the shipyard, though it was a secretive construction under China.

It is said that China’s step comes ahead of India currently operating INS Vikaramaditya. It is expected that INS Vikrant to be launched in 2020 for sea trials.

To back growing influence aboard, China is in hurry to expand its naval bases aboard, especially in the South China Sea (SCS) and the India Ocean.

After Beijing has developed and militarized much islands of SCS, the United States has been trying to conduct a regular petrol to SCS to ensure attacks with asserting navigation of “freedom”.

Including Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port, it has already started its operation at the base at Djibouti. China is on a mission to develop the Pakistan’s Gwadar port, which is situated in the Arabian Sea.
