Following the immense rise in international tensions regarding the contested islands in the South China Sea, most western powers like the US, the UK, and France had finally decided to put their foot down against the blatant disregard of international law by China in the region. However, before the tensions could reach its boiling point, a satellite image from ImageSat International (ISI), an Israel based intelligence firm, reported that all Chinese missile around the shores of the disputed Woody Island in the Sea had suddenly disappeared. This report was received at par with a news conference in Beijing where China yet again blamed the US for the disruption of peace.

During a routine news conference, Hua Chunying, a spokeswoman from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it was not Beijing, but the US who was actually disregarding international law in the South China Sea. Chunying’s words were directed exactly against the two B-52 bomber jets which had been sent by the US to scout the disputed islands the previous day. Hua Chunying argued that all decisions China had previously taken, and will still continue to take, are only necessary measures which protect their own sovereignty, peace, and security. The militarization of the South China Sea had never been about Beijing implanting missiles in man-made islands to maintain stability – it had always been about the United States going out of their way to intimidate and coerce China into submission.

Nevertheless, present satellite images from the ISI confirm a relocation or removal of all the Chinese anti-aircraft missile launchers and defensive radar systems around the islands in the Paracel chain. Despite there being no confirmation or denial by Beijing, the ISI has decided to observe the region very carefully, keeping their eye out for a possible redeployment of the missiles in the South China Sea.

  1. The missile launchers have to be cleaned and sandblasted,…but it has to be done very gently!
Rust can be a bitch!…saltwater and certain metals can create electrolysis, maybe even a short circuit, the missiles could launch all by themselves!…he! he!
Cheap low quality metal, is why these components oxidise, when China smelts the ore in a blast furnace, they throw in some old car batteries, tin cans, washing machines that don’t work, (that means lots of them!) engine blocks, bits of cement, rubber tyres, and general household rubbish!…..Listen guys, you need some good quality control!…maybe throw in a few tuna heads to the mix, I hear fish oil is really good protection for metal!
