Brexit Deal UK Leave EU Oct 31

British member of parliament Yvette Cooper, one of the leading campaigner against British Prime Minister Theresa May’s proposed Brexit deal, has on Tuesday unveiled a new plan in order to ensure the United Kingdom parliament has a chance to vote over Britain leaving the European Union (EU) without any agreement with the bloc.

According to news reported by Reuters, the first attempt made by Conservative Nick Boles and opposition Labour lawmaker Cooper to provide the UK parliament with the power to request a delay to Britain’s exit (March 29) from the bloc has been defeated on January 29 by the parliament.

Cooper said her new proposal would force for the vote over an amendment creating a room for her bill on February 27, which has supported by cross-party, if Theresa May has not yet passed her deal by then.

Unless Britain delays Brexit deal or passes a deal, it is due to leave the EU with no pact on March 29, which several businesses said would spoil their supply chain.

Cooper said her bill would need to have May and the UK parliament in order to resolve it by the middle of March whether Britain will leave the bloc with a deal or without any deal or will seek an extension to May’s Brexit deadline.

Cooper said, “We are in danger of drifting into no deal by accident.” She told parliament on Tuesday that if she failed to reach a deal in Brussels then she would deliver a new progress report on February 26 and offer another chance for the UK parliament to express a further opinion on her approach.
