Rex Tillerson, former United States secretary of the state, on Thursday, launched a scathing attack on President Donald Trump and said he always violates law and a treaty and termed him “undisciplined”.

In March, 2018, Trump has fired Tillerson because of escalating tensions between them and has nominated CIA director Mike Pompeo. During an interview on Thursday, at charity dinner in native Texas, Tillerson continued attacking Trump and over his presidency. It was broadcasted on Friday.

Tillerson told the journalist Bob Schieffer, “I think part of it was obvio we are starkly different in our styles. We did not have a common value system.”

He said, “I’d have to say to him, ‘Well, Mr. President, I understand what you want to do, but you can’t do it that way – it violates the law, it violates a treaty.’”

After their relationship developed lot of tension, Tillerson, rather than focusing on more foreign policy goals, he chose to focus on the internal state department efficiently.

Tillerson said, “It was challenging for me coming from the disciplined, highly process-oriented ExxonMobil Corp to go to work for a man who is pretty undisciplined, doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports, doesn’t like to get into the detail of a lot of things.”

Trump hit back Tillerson on Friday, over his criticism made up on Trump, and called Tillerson as “dumb as a rock” and termed him “lazy as hell”.

Trump said, “Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him. His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed.”

Trump further said, “He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!”

Last year, Trump apparently had a higher opinion of Tillerson’s abilities, calling him “our wonderful secretary of state” and declaring that “we work well together.”

Trump has, last year, called Tillerson a “wonderful secretary of states” and also announced that they always “work well together”.
