New Delhi, August 5: Indian external affairs minister S Jaishankar is slated to pay an official visit to China scheduled from August 11-13 to co-chair the second meeting of China-India High-Level Mechanism (HLM) on cultural and people-to-people exchanges with Wang Yi, the Chinese foreign minister, according to news reports.

The choice to set up the HLM was taken during the Informal Summit between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in April 2018 in Wuhan. The debut HLM meeting was hung on December 21, 2018 in New Delhi. The second HLM meeting will give a chance to catch up on the results of the first HLM meeting and talk about new activities for upgrading individuals to-individuals trades between our two nations.
