Former United States vice president Joe Biden has planned to announce his bid running for 2020 US presidential election on Wednesday via video, citing sources close to Biden, the Atlantic reported on Friday.

The announcement will be followed by months of speculations on whether Biden would launch his party’s bid for the presidential election, challenging President Donald Trump in 2020, according to Dawn news reports.

Atlantic reported the Wednesday’s announcement video will be consist of footages which were shot two weeks ago outside Biden’s house in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Biden has served 36 years in the US Senate representing Delaware and eight years as vice president under the presidency of ex-President Barack Obama.

On March 13, Biden announced he will be running for 2020 US presidential election against Trump, according to an exclusive report revealed by The Hill.

Early in 2017, once Biden had told a leading magazine that he hasn’t made any decision over it yet but said he is not against the idea of running for the presidency in 2020.
