Former FBI director James Comey again hits back at the United States Donald Trump and said this time the Democrats “must win” in the year 2020 in order to end Trump’s presidency.
According to news reports, while addressing audience at a public even on Sunday, in New York City, Comey said, “All of us should use every breath we have to make sure the lies stop on January 20, 2021.”
Recently, Comey has become an outspoken critic of Trump, since the day he was sacked from his position by Trump in the month May of 2017. Comey said at the next presidential election, he desperately wants to watch a “landslide” victory for Trump’s opponent.
According to news reports, Comey said, “I understand the Democrats have important debates now over who their candidate should be, but they have to win. They have to win.”
Comey said when voting against Trump at ballot box would definitely “rid ourselves of this attack on our values … Removal by impeachment would muddy that”.
Former law enforcement officials claimed that Trump was “certainly close” to get tagged with an “unindent co-conspirator” in few of the charges issued by special consul Robert Mueller against Trump.
In a court filing on Friday, the federal prosecutors has alleged that Trump has ordered to his former lawyer Michael Cohen to make an illegal payments to two women, who claimed to have affairs with Trump, in order to silence them on their sexual encounter.
When asked about the situation after of such court filing, Comey said, “That person would be in serious jeopardy of being charged.”
California’s Democratic congressman Adam Schiff said, “There’s a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him – that he may be the first president in quite some time to face the very real prospect of jail time.”
Talking upon former president Barack Obama, Comey said, “I was struck that Barack Obama is the best listener as a leader I had ever seen and Donald Trump is the worst I’ve ever seen.”
Comey further stated: “Obama had the confidence to be quiet and try and get that. Donald Trump is a deeply, deeply insecure person, so I don’t see any prospect that he would be able to be quiet for long enough to hear the truth.”
