warning is being given by donald trump

Washington: In a new announcement recently, President Trump’s administration made public a new system plan leading to US citizenship for the immigrants, popularly referred to as dreamers in 10-12 years.
The plan is likely to bring about a remarkable change in US immigration policies. Trump promised during his presidential campaign a tough barricade on illegal immigration, but has extended the vow to narrowing the doors for legal immigrants and refugees.

Thus to restrict illegal immigration, President Trump has also asked for Congress budget $25 billion for a “trust fund” for constructing a hindrance on the US-Mexico border to stop illegal Mexican immigrants-something that was a dominant promise in his presidential campaign of 2016.

This will mark the end of the lottery system (which was introduced in 1990 to diversify the origins of new immigrants) which has support from some Democrats. Trump has argued the programme is quite random and has allowed people into the country who have been allies to Islamic extremists.

“This programme is riddled with fraud and abuse and does not serve the national interest,” the White House stated in a summary on Thursday. Trump also said that he intends to eliminate the “chain migration” which enables the family of migrants with US citizenship to migrate into the States. Thursday’s proposal thus claimed that to “protect the nuclear family,” family immigration would be only permitted for spouses and minor offspring.

However this hasn’t met with unanimous support across the country. Pro-immigration groups claimed that this plan would halve overall immigration, and was intended at increasing the Caucasian population in the country.

“$25 billion as ransom for Dreamers with cuts to legal immigration and increases to deportations doesn’t pass the laugh test,” stated Democratic Representative Luis Gutierrez.

“The White House released a hateful, xenophobic immigration proposal that would slash legal immigration to levels not seen since the racial quotas of the 1920s,” said Lorella Praeli, Director Immigration Policy at the American Civil Liberties Union
