Reacting sharply on the Russian sanctions, Germany has issued a warning to the United States stating that it will not accept any new sanctions put on Russia or the European companies. Speaking on this, foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel also spoke about the importance of putting economic pressure on Russia after the country was found involved in the Ukraine conflict.
Further, in his statement, Sigmar Gabriel said that the conflicts with Russia are internal and under no circumstances, Germany will entertain the sanctions put by the United States on the European companies.
Since the new sanctions were announced, European companies have been in open criticism of the US. These new sanctions will directly impact a number of European companies. European Union has warned the US of strict retaliation if it gets ahead with the proposed plans without taking European benefits in consideration.
