Google chief executive officer (CEO) Sundar Pichai – under the fire of allegations over its political bias and over non-protective towards the personal information of user – plans to address the House of Representative this week and deliver his words declining the allegation.

Because of the leakage of the personal information of 52.5 million users, the Google announced to terminate its modestly-used social media networks Google Plus. Pichai made it clear that he would go to the depth to defend his company Google against all accusations of predisposition or favouritism.

Pichai said, “I lead this company without political bias and work to ensure that our products continue to operate that way,” according to transcript which was release on Monday. Pichai said, “To do otherwise would go against our core principles and our business interests.”

Pichai claimed, “We are a company that provides platforms for diverse perspectives and opinions – and we have no shortage of them among our own employees.”

He further said, “Some of our Googlers are former servicemen and women who have risked much in defence of our country. Some are civil libertarians who fiercely defend freedom of expression.”

The alleged comments were the result of United States President Donald Trump’s accusation this summer over the tech companies, which includes Google, Facebook and Twitter too, were “treading on very, very troubled territory and have to be careful”. Trump also accused the company Google of left-leaning outlets and of alerting the search results in order to prioritize negative coverages.

According to news reports, in August, Trump said, “Google has really taken advantage of a lot of people and I think that’s a very serious thing and it’s a very serious charge,” adding, “They better be careful because they can’t do that to people.”

In a tweet, Trump wrote: “Google search results for ‘Trump News’ shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake New Media. In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out.”

Pichai announced his scheduled address to the House of Representatives’ judiciary committee, which comes three months after he rejected to present his testimony, a thing which has angered some of the politicians.

According to news reports, members of Congress are now trying to curb the power of tech companies – Twitter, Google, Facebook and other, by mulling together some strict regulations, in order to tighten the control over the digital privacy.

Google was on the gun point from March, when it had agreed to admit that the personal data of 87 million users had been leaked and shared with Cambridge Analytica, a firm affiliated to Trump’s 2016 election campaign.

In the month September, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg has addressed the senate intelligence committee over their alleged attempts to try and cease foreign interference in the general elections, which held in the US.
