Sundar Pichai-Google CEO

United States President Donald Trump has said on Wednesday Google CEO Sundar Pichai has assured him that he is “totally committed to the US military”, not the Chinese military.

According to news reports, Trump has previously accused Google CEO of indirectly benefiting and boosting Chinese military. Earlier this month, the US president has complained that Pichai’s company business activities in Beijing were “helping China and its military”.

In a tweet, Trump wrote: “Just met with @SundarPichai, President of @Google, who is obviously doing quite well. He stated strongly that he is totally committed to the U.S. Military, not the Chinese Military…”

He continued tweeting: “…Also discussed political fairness and various things that @Google can do for our Country. Meeting ended very well!”

A Google spokesperson said that Pichai held “productive conversations” with the US president over “investing in the future of the American workforce, the growth of emerging technologies and our ongoing commitment to working with the U.S. government”.

US top military officer has urged American tech giants to make efforts to work over next-generation 5G network wireless tech in order to increase American markets and so that it does not rely on the Chinese innovations like giant tech Huawei. The general said that dominating 5G network is “in our national interest”.
