Dubai [UAE], June 24: Jai Ram Thakur, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, in on an official four-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in an effort to attract investors to invest in his state in several fields, including tourism and horticulture.

According to ANI news reports, Thakur has on Sunday arrived in Dubai and was accompanied by Bikram Singh, the industries ministers, as well as, several other senior officials of his state.

Thakur has invited the Lulu Group International’s businessmen to Himachal Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit, scheduled to be taken place this year.

While interacting with ANI, the chief minister said, “We visited the Lulu Hypermarket. There were products related to India’s agriculture and horticulture areas, especially apples and other fruits. Obviously, investment from Dubai in agriculture and horticulture sectors in Himachal will benefit our farmers and gardeners.”

While expressing his views over the chief minister’s visit to the UAE, Chairman of Lulu Group, Yusuff Ali, said, “It was very interesting and enlightening meeting with the Chief Minister of the very beautiful and unexplored Himachal Pradesh, a state with lots of opportunities.”
