Beijing, June 5: The Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei technology has on Tuesday said it was willing to ink a “no-spy agreement” with the United States government if the nation is open to provide this opportunity, in response to years of accusations leveled by America and its allies that the Chinese Intelligence Agencies for spying could use Huawei’s product for spying.

Huawei’s chairman Liang Hua was quoted by The Hill as saying, “We are willing to sign a no-spy agreement with the US.” He added, “The US has not brought from us, it not buying from us and doesn’t have plans to buy from us. So, I don’t know if there’s an opportunity to sign such an agreement.”

In consideration to the fact, the US has been trying urging its European allies, including said nations to cut off its ties with the Chinese firm, Huawei has also offered the same agreements to Germany and the United Kingdom, according to ANI news reports.

Huawei has filed last week a “motion for summary judgment” in its legal lawsuit challenging the US law constitutionality banning its federal agencies from purchasing Huawei products.

The motion urges the court to override a part of the National Defence Authorization Act (NDAA) which forbids federal agencies from using Huawei technology, as well as, ZTE, the smaller China’s rival.

Last year, US President Donald Trump had signaled the NDAA, alleging Huawei’s products posed a threat to national security, as the Chinese authority could make use of Huawei for spying on Americans.

Huawei, calling the NDAA portion “unconstitutional”, the company had sued the American government in March.
